
Nicole Hartley
MBA Director and Associate Professor/Researcher, UQ
Nicole Hartley is a service technology and digital media researcher and associate professor with the UQ Business School at the University of Queensland. She is also Director of the UQ Business School MBA program. Nicole is passionate about understanding decision making in consumer contexts, particularly how it relates to new technology and digital services and messaging. Nicole has taught and worked extensively in advertising and marketing in both Australia and in London.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
The person who most inspired me personally was my year 10-12 English teacher Mrs Mitchell. She was a hippy at heart and knew every word to every Bob Dylan song ever written…and she made us dance in class!
Mostly she made you feel that as a woman you could do anything, be anything….you just had to believe in yourself! Pretty powerful!
