Client Partner, Meta
I’m Emily Qureshi, a marketing and partnerships leader with 11 years of experience working across media, technology, and marketing strategy. My career started in creative agencies in Los Angeles before I moved to Australia to work in media and tech, partnering with brands like P&G, PepsiCo, Amazon, and LVMH.
As a Client Partner at Meta, I specialise in solving complex challenges, helping brands embrace innovation, and driving real business growth. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across agencies, media, and tech, giving me a unique perspective on how to build meaningful partnerships, adapt to change, and grow a career in a fast-moving industry. I'm so excited to be a mentor in Assisterhood!

Career & Background
Could you tell us a bit about your professional background?
After graduating college, I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted to do – so I got two jobs! I worked full-time as a Digital Strategy Associate at a creative agency in Los Angeles while also spending the weekends as a Production Assistant at Fox Sports. That meant I was working seven days a week, and after nearly a year and some serious burnout, I knew I needed a change.
Having spent a summer abroad in Paris, I was always drawn to the idea of working internationally, so I made the move to Australia with no job. Luckily, I landed a Digital Coordinator role at Carat Media, working my way up to Planning Manager over 4.5 years, partnering with brands like Woolworths Group and Virgin Australia. I had always wanted to work at Facebook because I truly believed in the platform from a marketing and personal standpoint. I’ve now been there for 6.5 years starting a Client Solutions Manager on FMCG and now as a Client Partner in the tech team. I’ve had the privilege of working with brands both large and small, helping them transform their businesses and deliver real results.
I love getting to work with some of the smartest people in the industry. Every day, I’m learning something new which always keeps me on my toes!
What inspired you to do what you are doing now?
Studying abroad in Paris, I took a luxury marketing class taught by a leader at L’Oréal. That was the moment I fell in love with marketing—the way brands create emotional connections and shape culture. As my career progressed, I became even more fascinated by how technology was deepening those connections and driving innovation.
As a media planner, I saw firsthand how platforms like Meta were reshaping the way brands engaged with audiences. That experience made the transition to Meta a natural next step—not only was I excited by its scale and impact, but it was also a platform that had personally helped me stay connected to friends and family, no matter where I was in the world.
What drives and inspires you
What are your core values?
- Compassion
- Diversity
- Kindness
- Vulnerability
Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is my dad. Migrating from Pakistan to the U.S. at 14, he took a lead role in supporting his family, learning English, adapting to a new culture, and working incredibly hard. He has the best work ethic I’ve ever seen, but what makes him truly special is how he balances that with empathy and humor.
He always taught me that I could do anything I put my mind to—though I think he secretly hoped that meant becoming a doctor or an engineer. He has also kept me incredibly humble and grateful for everything I have, always reminding me to appreciate where I came from and the opportunities in front of me.

I know what it’s like to face uncertainty—whether it’s career challenges, personal setbacks, or feeling completely unsure of what’s next. I want to be a resource for someone navigating those same moments, because I’ve been there too.
