Megan Henderson

Global Brand Experience Leader, Flight Centre

Megan drunk the Flight Centre Kool Aid 13+ years ago starting as an Advertising Executive in NZ. Megan said yes to every opportunity she could (some good, some bad), which has allowed her to work in 7x different roles, and 4x different brands over the 13x year period. She's now the Global Brand Experience Leader for Flight Centre brand looking after the end-to-end journey across all channels for the brand. If someone told her 13 years ago the experiences and opportunities she's had along with the friends she's met, it would have been a big "NO F*CKEN WAY" moment.

Career & Background

What inspired you to do what you are doing now?

I stumbled into my first role with Flight Centre 11+ years ago. To start with, it was just a job while I figured out what area of marketing I wanted to dive into. The business is full of amazing leaders who quickly became mentors to me. My prior mentors and leaders have inspired me to create a space for a role that I wanted to do, and make it happen. That guiding principle has kept me in the business and allowed me to move between roles and brands, adding tools to the toolkit.

Could you tell us a bit about your professional background and where you are headed in your career right now?

I drunk the Flight Centre Kool Aid 11+ years ago starting as an Advertising Executive in NZ. I have said yes to every opportunity I could (some good, some bad), which has allowed me to work in 6x different roles, and 4x different brands over the 11x year period. I’m now based in Brisbane and the Global Marketing Operations leader for Flight Centre brand. If someone told me 11 years ago where I would be now with Flight Centre, the experience, opportunities I have had, and friends I have met, it would have been a big “NO F*CKEN WAY” moment.
