Career & Background
What inspired you to do what you are doing now?
I was going to be an Accountant because I love numbers, but that all changed during my gap year.
I had an opportunity to work in the Accounts department of one of the largest companies in the country as preparation for Uni.
I got curious about the Marketing and Sales team though – they were in a league of their own and I when I got an opportunity to intern there, I took it!
I learnt Marketing wasn’t a colouring in department (as the accountants called it); but a revenue generating one. I learnt how, when managed properly, the synchronicity among Sales, Marketing and Customer success departments provided tremendous value to the organisation.
It’s a field which allows tremendous creativity and problem solving within the confines of core principles. This experience was career altering and has shaped who I am today.
Where are you headed in your career right now?
I love all things Marketing. I want to continue growing in an integrated role leading high performance, passionate teams.
