Lauren Faulkner
Consultant
Having worked in agencies almost of my career - most recently as a GM - I had always had a long “to do” list and felt the days and months (sometimes years!) often got away from me. This lead me to think there was a gap in the market for a consultant who was able to come into a business and operate at the same level as a Founder/ CEO, but without the authority or additional salary.

Career & Background
Could you tell us a bit about your professional background and where you are headed in your career right now?
I started my career as an intern at a Brisbane-based agency and quickly found a way to a role as an Account Coordinator. I stayed with that agency for five years and left as an Account Manager.
After a brief stint in New Zealand working for an e-commerce business, I returned to Brisbane and back into an agency, where I stayed for 9.5 years. The latter half of my time in the agency saw me step into management roles, leading teams of up to 30 people, across two offices.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My own parents are definitely my inspiration – not just in work, but life. They both worked so hard to get where they are in their own careers and never let adversity stop them. They are both the ultimate social butterfly, go-getters and show no signs of slowing down!
You as a Mentor
