Career & Background
What inspired you to do what you are doing now?
I wouldn’t use the term ‘inspired’, but for me it was all about finding the forever job, somewhere I could see myself staying for the long haul, or at least a decent stint of time! As someone who enjoys wearing many hats, it was about finding a path that not only tapped into both my creative and analytical sides but also allowed me to stay hands-on. It’s important for me to be in an environment where I can craft solutions, solve problems, and continuously learn while driving processes that bring clarity (as my brain is a busy mess!).
Could you tell us a bit about your professional background?
I was trained as a designer, but when I graduated didn’t want to ‘just’ design. I started in sales coordinator roles in both radio and digital media, and eventually made my way into client management. Along the way, I was identifying problems in process and subconsciously solving those problems. I didn’t realise this was a key role in operations until chatting about my future with my manager at the time, and then it all clicked. Being a generalist, the natural path for me is to stay on the operations / business management side of things, and look to build on skill set.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
Amber Bonney, Founder of The Edison Agency (where I work). She is a dedicated advocate for those who can’t—or don’t yet believe they can—speak up for themselves. Whether mentoring emerging creatives, driving inclusive industry conversations, or challenging the status quo, she actively creates space for others to be heard, valued, and supported.
You as a Mentor
Why have you decided to become a mentor?
In short, I think having a mentor would’ve been incredibly useful for me when I was in the early stages of my career. It took me a long time to identify my strengths, and a third party opinion that’s not linked to where you are right now can be incredibly helpful – almost like therapy!
What are the top 5 skills or qualities you bring to mentoring?
- Empathic
- Humble
- Intuitive
- Non-judgemental
- Willing to be vulnerable
