Career & Background
What was your journey and where are you headed in your career right now?
After graduating from art school with a Bachelor of Communication Design, I embarked on my professional journey at boutique design studios, where I honed my skills and expertise over several years. Seeking new challenges, I transitioned to a prominent Big Four agency, Clemenger BBDO, where I immersed myself in the dynamic world of advertising.
During my time at Clemenger, I led transformative projects such as introducing NAB’s star-silhouette across major digital platforms, and spearheaded Myer’s digital reinvention in the fashion-retail sector in response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the span of five years, I evolved from a Digital Designer to an Art Director, continuously refining my creative vision and leadership abilities.
Eager for a fresh perspective, I moved “client side”. Drawn by my passion for beauty and fashion, I jumped at the opportunity to serve as Bondi Sands’ Global Creative Manager, and embraced the chance to establish and lead their creative department. Over the course of a year, I orchestrated an organisational restructure, assembled a talented team of creatives, and oversaw operations within the in-house studio.
Following a fulfilling tenure at Bondi Sands, my commitment to driving societal change through creativity led me to join social impact agency Ellis Jones, as Associate Director of Design in early 2022. Recently, I enthusiastically embarked on a new chapter in my career as Associate Creative Director at Scooter, where I am eager to contribute my skills and insights to further elevate the agency’s creative ventures.
Beyond my professional endeavours, I am deeply invested in nurturing the next generation of talent in the advertising and design industry. I have served as Chair of Youngbloods VIC, and I actively participate in mentorship programs (like Assisterhood!). Additionally, I have shared my knowledge and experiences as a guest lecturer at esteemed institutions such as Swinburne, RMIT, Billy Blue College of Design, and Collarts.
