Career & Background
What inspired you to do what you are doing now?
I had been working in full-service agencies for 8 years, driving strategies for brands that weren’t my own. I wanted to spread my wings and take on a challenge like no other I had done before. Bringing all my skills together to drive real impact, whilst (and most importantly) finding a new balance for myself personally.
What was your journey and where are you headed in your career right now?
I don’t have the traditional agency or client side background upbringing. I have worked long stints in both camps having had the privilege of working on, or for, some of Australia’s leading brands, always with a focus on CX and the role tech and data play in enabling it. My roles have always been in Marketing, CX, Strategy with a focus on cultural and commercial leadership for the organisations I have worked for.

You as a Mentor
Why have you decided to become a mentor?
Coming up through my career I have always been blessed with leaders that truly saw me and what I was capable of. It’s that kind of support that gave me the space to take risks, to go beyond my ‘role’. Those leaders propelled my growth. I have always been very aware of that and eager to give back. Luckily enough, one of my superpowers that I am most proud of, is that I too see people. I see their knack, even if they don’t yet. Mentoring talent is a privilege, and I will always take the opportunity to do it when I can.
